DKI Jakarta governement in 2013, along with Urban Poor Consortium, planned to redesign Muara Angke with a better housing for the fisheries workers. This plan includes the development of Muara Angke as local and foreign tourists destination for fisheries product. Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta has stated to design a “thematic housing”, in which to promote fisheries activities in Muara Angke. The final project design explores the idea of social housing based on various fisheries activities by local community in Muara Angke. |
