Summary:This Final Project is on resort design located at 3,43 hectares Perak Island, northern Seribu Island, Jakarta. The theme of this project is environmentally friendly architecture. The theme is chosen based on the fragility of Perak Island’s ecology. The result of Perak Island’s resort design consists of many functions and activities. These functions can be divided into four categories, accommodations, recreations, services and conservations area. The main issue to be solved in this project is the fragile and natural environment factors of Perak Island. Isolated land like Perak Island has limited natural resources, its ecology needs to be conserved to achieve sustainable ecological system. Moreover, some faunas and floras at Seribu Islands are classified as rare and should be protected. Not to mention chances of natural disasters, beach abration and typhoons. The concept of Perak Island’s Resort design is sustainability in environment, economy and social dimensions. The concept applied in facility programming, natural landscape as well as building design. These concepts, like the zoning of conservation area and coconut wood as building material, are hoped to solve the problems of Perak Island’s Resort. These concepts are hoped not only to solve Perak Island’s Resort’s problems but to gives the locals an opportunity to improves their social and economy conditions.
