Description
Summary:Indonesia is currently running a Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development (MP3EI). This program requires manpower in the field of construction including architects and planners. But unfortunately, the capacity of the School of Architecture and Planning in Indonesia is still limited. In this final project, the authors tried to design the School of Architecture and Planning Institute of Technology Sumatra, which is a college building for the Faculty of Infrastructure Planning and Territorial Development. Many aspects give a challenge in this design, ranging from issues such as sharing community to green campus. From there was born a work of architecture that implements the concept of creative space and green building. Creative space developed in the form of a roof garden and a student lounge. Implementation of green campus is done through the use of skylights and a doubleglazing glass. The result is a higher education building with a floor area of 12.776 m2 building consists of 4 floors and with a height of 13 meters from the ground. The school capacity is 672 people, consisting of 560 students, 56 faculty, and 56 staffs.
