The amount of waste that isn’t transported and handled makes many urban problems. One effort to deal with the waste problem in Bandung is to use a regional system for final disposal. Bandung will use TPPAS Legok Nangka as a final disposal landfill, replacing TPA Sarimukti. However, increasing waste generation, inadequate capacity of transfer stations, and the long distance of landfill location resulted in the amount of garbage that is not addressed in the Bandung City. Law 18/2008 states that waste reduction is one of the points that are required in waste management. So, Bandung implements some policies to reduce waste from the resources. In this study, a system dynamic model that portrays Bandung waste management system until year 2025 was used to predict the influence of waste reduction policy for waste management facilities needed, waste management cost and landfill capacity. Model simulation shows that waste reduction efforts at the Bandung City’s Transfer Stations influence landfill capacity, and the policy scenario that are considered most suitable to be applied if Bandung choose to use Regional TPPAS is optimist scenario with total waste transported in the end of simulation year is 338 tons/day and MSWM costs Rp 223.364/ton of waste, reducing costs up to 12,65% compared to scenario which did not commit waste reduction. text
