Description
Summary:Landuse for agricultural activities annuals at this time to be one of the causes of the eroded soil particles, the amount of erosion. Optimization of land use to determine the amount of agricultural land use in Kecamatan Kertasari important in order to decrease the incidence of erosion, water catchment areas to stay awake and keep the economy running citizens. The purpose of this study was to obtain land for each variable that is a vegetable garden, paddy fields and pastures to increase incomes and maintain water environmental carrying capacity with scale farm business expansion can be done. The calculation of optimization of land use in Kecamatan Kertasari using dynamic programming method. The results showed that the allocation of land use and environmental costs of different levels of extent of land allocation and provide a distinct advantage. At the time of the high environmental costs the best decision scenario is (L1B1R3) when environmental cost is high, price of rice is high and price of grass is low, the land allocation vegetable gardens, paddy fields and pasture Kecamatan Kertasari each is 1000 hectares; 300 hectares and 1500 hectares with a total benefit of U.S. $ 7.9 million/ year, while the real environmental cost the best decision scenario is (L2B1R3) when environmental cost is real, price of rice is high and price of grass is low, allocation of land for vegetable gardens, paddy fields and pasture respectively is 1200 hectares;200 hectares and 1400 hectares with a total benefit of U.S. $ 8.8 million/year and at lower environmental cost the best decision scenario is (L3B1R3) when environmental cost is low, price of rice is high and price of grass is low, allocation for a vegetable garden, paddy fields and pasture respectively is 1500 hectares ; 0 hectares and 1300 hectares with a total benefit was U.S. $ 10.5 million / year. Before the optimization of land use total benefit of farmers and ranchers in Kecamatan Kertasari of U.S. $ 9.2 million / year, while after optimization of the total Benefit increased to U.S. $ 10.5 million / year. Based on these results it can be concluded that the allocation of land and the most optimum gains achieved during the environmental costs can be minimized This shows that the improvement of environmental quality through vegetative soil conservation by planting elephant grass that accompanied the development of animal husbandry integrated with agriculture can deliver the best for farmers and ranchers and are expected to reduce soil erosion so that it can maintain water and land resources sustainability in Kecamatan Kertasari.
