Description
Summary:In the provincial road maintenance project cycle, there are several methods of cost estimation, closely related to specific project stage. Even at its earliest stage, the project owner obviously needs a cost estimation for budgeting purpose. Hence, an applicable, accurate, and transparant cost estimation is a necessity. This research is aimed to generate a cost estimation procedure, using High and Low and Least-Square method, to get an accurate road maintenance cost estimation, that will be later compared to actual data of reviewed road rehabilition package. Data was taken from BPJ’s 37 road rehabilitation work package of Service Region III, Bina Marga Office, Bandung, West Java province during 2010 to 2014. It is found that Least-Square method is superior over comparing High and Low Method. Least-Square method produced is expressed as Y = 641.993.730,98 + 841.704.828,23 X, with minimum, maximum, and average accuracy of -13,049%, 55,192%, 6.250% respectively. These results indicate better performance as compared to the accuracy of the estimation of the cost of using the method of High and Low having in a range between 0.003% up to 64,903%, with average of 6.250%. The results of the cost estimation using Least-Square method can be used as a budgeting tool on road rehabilitation project in West Java Province.
