Summary:In the past two years, traffic accidents in Indonesia is considered the third biggest killer after coronary heart disease and tuberculosis / TB. This is a consideration to conduct a study of traffic accidents in an effort to improve traffic safety. The aim of this study was to assess the incidence of traffic accidents / safety problems at crash locations an effort to minimize traffic accidents, particularly on Cakung - Cilincing national roads. The results showed that the safety problem that exists was the operating speed of the vehicle was relatively high, especially motorcycles, the motorcycle moving against the flow of traffic, road side friction, roadside parking and lack of traffic signs and road markings. The countermeasures to the problem of traffic safety, traffic management enacted which includes the separation of / provision of special lanes for motorcycles and installation of traffic signs, road markings, providing lanes for pedestrians, zebra and pelican crossing for pedestrians, and rumble strips in a location close to the intersection and the pedestrian crossing. it gives the value of Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) 4,16 for treatment at sta 1+700 s/d 1+800 direction Cilincing to Cakung and 4,46 for sta 3+700 s/d 3+800 direction Cakung to Cilincing.
