Material of asphalt that exist so far either penetration grade and modified not overcome these issues. New technnology that is developed and trialed is using the performance grade asphalt. Using of equivalent PG76 modified asphalt is expected giving better pavement performace. Mix design carried out by Marshall method wherein the characteristic properties refers to Ministry of Public Works specification. The performance of the mixture is obtained through mechanistic testing i.e. Marshall test, Dynamic Modulus, Resilient Modulus, and Fatigue. Mechanistic Rheology test for equivalent PG76 modified asphalt also carried out using DSR for determine Performance Grade value for the asphalt. Polymer content of equivalent PG76 modified asphalt causes asphalt properties harder and resistant to high temperature. Result DSR test shows that performance grade value of equivalent PG76 modified asphalt is on one performance grade above Pen 60/70 asphalt. Resilient Modulus value of equivalent PG76 modified asphalt mixture is higher than Pen 60/70 asphalt mixture on high temperature test. Equivalent PG76 modified asphalt mixture has better resistance of crack that shows on result of Fatigue test. In general, equivalent PG76 modified asphalt mixture shows better performace at overloading and high temperature condition. text
