Summary:Indonesia is a developing country with a population of over 200 million inhabitants. As a developing country, Indonesia has many inhabitants who are not financially well off, especially to meet the needs of primary health one. In the field of medicine, Indonesia is a country that has a lot of potential on the biological wealth. Biodiversity makes Indonesia has many natural ingredients as drugs that can become a source of inexpensive treatment, which even has a good prospect to be developed into drugs to malignant disease. However, this wealth is not supported by the availability of human resources capable of processing such diversity into drugs needed by the community. In 2014, the government of Indonesia held a free medical treatment program to the community can not afford. This program has led to the increasing needs of hospitals resulting lack of medical personnel such as doctors and pharmacists higher. Pharmacy education is one way to meet the needs of the community in health as well as the industry today. Through education, pharmacy, it will produce young people who develop the nation and solve various problems in Indonesia in the field of health and industry.
