| Summary: | This final project called Bekasi Art and Culture Center was located at Ir. H. Juanda street, East Bekasi, with 2,9 ha area wide. The program is auditorium, gallery and retail, workshop facility, supporting facility, staff office, culinary center, and outdoor element which is amphiteater, plaza, and retention pond. This project was supported by Dinas Pemuda, Olahraga, Kebudayaan, dan Pariwisata of Bekasi with addition support by private company. The documentation need of Bekasi art and culture through the time making the idea of a place with any activities to share and present the subject. The project major issue are to integrated many functions as a centre of activities. The functions of this facility are connected with some ideas to gather the users, and can adapted the site physically conditions. The contour of the site become another issue to be done. The retention pond located to the very bottom of the site slope. Massing concept of the project are mixing the traditional geometry of Bekasi traditional house and modern geometry, so it will mix with the landscape as a integrated link. |
