The discovery of hybrid perovskite as sensitizer or light harvester in dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) can make solar cell price much cheaper than conventional solar cell that use silicon. Efficiency enhancement (~18%) from hybrid perovskite solar cell makes the development of this material is promising. In this experiment, synthesis of hybrid perovskite (CH3NH3)PbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I) was carried out by two-step method, by mixing methylamine with HX solution and lead(II) acetate with HX in two separated container and then it is continued with mixing those two solutions. X-Ray Diffraction characterization shows that compound with X = Cl and Br have match with reported patterns, meanwhile X = I is not successfully prepared. We still can observed PbX2 phase as impurities. Further infrared spectroscopy characterization shows methyl and amine group at wavenumber around 2990 and 3300 cm-1. Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) spectrum shows that both compoung have direct bandgap about 2.79 eV for X = Cl and 2.09 eV for X = Br, and indirect bandgap about 2.91 eV for X = Cl and 2.16 eV for X = Br. Photoluminescence spectrum at ?ex 375 nm shows emission for X = Br at 550 nm, while for X = Cl there is no emission observed. text |
