Birds are one of the species that gets the most attention in the study of urban ecosystems. Birds play an important role in urban ecosystems, including birds are easily observed, widely distributed, easily identified, occupy the highest positions in the food chain, indicators of environmental quality, play a role in the balance of ecosystems, deterrents of damage, play a role in seed dispersal and pollination of flowers. In general, the entire area of Bandung City is a bird habitat. Infrastructure construction in Bandung City resulted a fragmentation, isolation and loss of bird habitat. Ranca Bayawak Village in the Gedebage Area of Bandung City is one of the areas in Bandung which is a part of Javan Pond Heron (Ardeola speciosa) and Eastern Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis) habitat since 1970. Javan Pond Heron (Ardeola speciosa) and Eastern Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis) habitat in Ranca Bayawak village is being in the threatened condition due to the city plan which develop a new urban center of Bandung City in the Gedebage Area. The development of this new area leads to fragmentation, isolation and degradation of natural habitat of Blekok Sawah (Ardeola speciosa) and the Buffalo Egret (Bubulcus ibis) due to changes in land use and land cover. The landscape design for bird habitat conservation area in Ranca Bayawak Village is needed as a recommendation to harmonize the needs of Bandung City development with the existences of Javan Pond Heron (Ardeola speciosa) and Eastern Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis)habitat so the urban development can be integrated, sustainable and harmony with nature. One important element in designing a bird habitat conservation area is identifying and analyzing the landscape structure/landscape suitability of bird habitat and supported by habitat elements analysis, land cover changes patterns analysis , green open spaces analysis and analysis of people acttivities in Ranca Bayawak Village in relation of bird conservation activites. The results of the identification and analysis is a design criteria and zoning areas for Javan Pond Heron (Ardeola speciosa) and Eastern Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis). The design main concept of bird habitat conservation area for Javan Pond Heron (Ardeola speciosa) and Eastern Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis) in Ranca Bayawak
