Description
Summary:The area of Sarimukti landfill is located in Cipatat, West Bandung. In landfill, there is leachate which is a contaminant liquid from the seepage of surface water leading to waste. Leachate water is collected into the leachate basin. It is necessary to review seepage of leachate around the landfill area. Seepage and fluid flow can be investigated using the Self Potential (SP) method. Based on the description above, a study was conducted which aimed to determine the distribution of contamination of leachate around the measurement area of the Sarimukti landfill. This study using the Self Potential (SP) method with a fix base technique. The research data was taken from 7 tracks using a multimeter that equipped with porouspot and connecting cable. The data obtained was processed and interpreted using surfer 13. The results of the data interpretation are in the form of potential and altitude contours of the study area. The results showed that there were SP anomalies around the measurement area. The First, at point 23 path 3 on coordinates between 759500 to 759600 latitude and 9247400 to 9247500 longitude, then at point 97 path 1, and at coordinates 759424 to 759426 latitude and 9247703 to 9247713 longitude at point 62 and 63 path 1 at coordinates 759700 latitude with 9247900 to 9248100 longitude. The anomaly is thought to be caused by the electrochemical potential of leachate accumulation and electrokinetic potential of subsurface leachate with potential difference values ranging from -55 to -75 millivolts.
