This final project add some new function, such as culinary market and sport facility, into Bintara market to maximize land potential, so that operation time of the market can be longer. The shape of the building adjusts tropical cilmate and give friendly impression. Building concept is realized with the optimal utilization of natural lighting and passive cooling system. The market building has voids, the walls not full to the top, and high angle of roof slope. Fire passive prevention is applied by the separation of building mass and the use of concrete structures that are resistant to fire. Fire active prevention tool are put at the vulnerable place such as food court. Each commodity is grouped and the wet commodity is placed near water drainage for effective utility. Bintara market is expected to build community and develop the economy, so the people will have sense of belonging toward this market and create a sustainable economy in it. Therefore, this market could be a pleasant one-stop destination for visitors.
