The project is a theater building project with a land area of approximately 26.900m2 semifictional character . the project site is located in Bandung Gedebage Region. The project is owned and managed by the Government of Bandung in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of West Java, which has a vision of "Creating West Java as the Center for Culture and Sightseeing World Class". Expected with the construction of the theater this theater can help Gedebage region as a center of activity in the area of Bandung. Concept of building theater performances are expressive and harmonious concept. The purpose of the expressive and harmonious means, this theater building is able to respond to the condition of the tread. Therefore, the shape of the theatre building has iconic shape, so that the building can be recognized immediately as the theater through it’s mass. Harmonious means aligned theater able to accommodate various types of performing arts. To meet the various types of performances, it is necessary to fulfill several criteria in the design of an auditorium. These criteria regarding acoustics in the auditorium which is implemented in the use of acoustic ceilings. Other criteria in the achievement of visual comfort for the spectators. achievement of visual comfort is implemented by means of the use of long-span structure in the auditorium so that the room be clean without any obstructed. Last criterion is flexibility of space in the auditorium that can accommodate various types of performances.
