Bali is an island known for its tourism by foreign tourists for many years. In 2016, Bali has been stated as "The Best Island in Asia" by Tripadvisor and become the fifth best island in the world. Pandawa Beach experienced significant tourism development over the past years. It’s presence in the midst of hills and limestone cliffs making it a favorable hidden beach destination for tourists. This trending tourism phenomenom of Pandawa Beach needs to be followed with the presence of tourism supporting development such as international boutique resort hotel. Located on a cliffside that has an amazing view towards the sea, this resort design faces a situation where the contours are sloping and making it difficult to enjoy the view. With the concept of a modern resort, the resort brings strong Balinese ambience in the landscape design. The outdoor spaces provide presence of water that is able to give refreshing experience for the guests. The presence of the water is enhanced by the site potential, the views toward the sea. Consists of three types of villas, the massing layout of this boutique resort is designed by adopting the concept of Bali aga village. The concept of Bali aga village is implemented on the orientation of the villas that have specific order and has a major axis that is used as a point of orientation and shared public space. The massing laoyout of the villas which follows the concept of Bali aga village allowing each villas to have exclusive view towards the sea.
