Summary: | The needs of residence is one of the basic needs for human. Currently, the rate of
growth and Population in Bandung already very high, so it increasing need for
residence. Increasing the number of residence is not comparable with the amount of
land available in Bandung City, as a result the price of the land in the middle of
Bandung City became very high. Apartments or flats which are multi-storey residential
system (vertical housing) which allows compact dwelling on a limited land (High
Density Housing ). If observed in side of population and spatial urban areas, the need
for an apartment or a vertical housing no longer be an option, but a necessity. Basically,
the apartment has a private function (residential) and public or supporting functions
from the apartment. The purpose of the design is to design an apartment to meet the
housing needs in the Bandung City for people of the middle class. The project located
at Jl . Soekarno - Hatta , Cisaranten Kulon village, Arcamanik District of Bandung city.
The project is a fictitious project. Design issues of apartment including efficiency value
of land and building, there are space and shared facilities , as well as providing privacy
for the residents but does not restrict their activities. General concept in these apartment
is the concept of sustainable design. It is philosophy in designing physical objects, the
real environment, and service to meet the principles of sustainability both economically,
socially and ecologically. |
