Hanandjoeddin H.A.S Airport is an airport located in Belitung Island and managed by Kementrian Perhubungan (Kemenhub). Potential areas of maritime travel in Belitung which are very well are an attraction for tourists to visit this area. Travelers will be increased annually and directly proportional to the number of visitors at the airport Hanandjoeddin. This resulted the terminal to be refurbished to accommodate increased passenger capacity. The project is a state project, so it was built to describe the identity of the country. Local culture is very important in the design of this terminal. The protrusion of identity / regional localities in Belitung become a major maneuver in designing this terminal for being the main gateway to the island. Circulation, thermal comfort, security and safety become an issue raised in terminal design. Airports are now also required to use modern technology in the structure and construction as well as featuring modern architecture. An overarching concept of this terminal is the shape and mass that takes this regional localities, namely maritime by combining elements of the waves and the rocks in the sea. Wide span structures with the use of space frame will be applied in this airport
