Islamic boarding school is an educational institution and propagation of Islam in society. Initially boarding has exclusive impression and alienated with urban society, but nowdays, Islamic boarding school is integrated with urban society. The development of the boarding school is influenced by the need for education and propagation of Islam for anyone and anywhere. As well as, Students Islamic boarding school, is the result of the development of boarding school culture that developed in the urban context. This boarding school is used for students who have special characteristics and different from the students in general. This boarding school has strong character, particularly in the method of learning, time of learning and boarding school environment. This project is located in Pondok Pesantren Al Falah Dago. This site is owned by Al-Falah Dago with an estimated area about 1.25 ha. This project is a fictitious project, that the project has a real site but Al-Falah Islamic Boarding School has not yet development plan. This Islamic boarding school is designed only for students in Bandung. This site has high potential to be used as Students Islamic boarding school, because its location in the center of campus life in Bandung. It is supported by the context studies that have been done. Islamic students boarding school have three main issues, that is urban context, user, and context of Islam. In response to these issues, the concept was designed with the concept of ukhuwah that has correlation with these issues. Ukhuwah concept responds to urban with do the exiting building wisely, the user is responded by creating spaces ukhuwah inside and outdoors boarding school, and responds to Islamic values in design. This boarding school project use two types of approaches, function approach and form of approach. The design of this boarding school have three buildings with main functions, the mosque as a center of boarding schools that facilitate the activities of worship, educational and social. Recidential functions are divided into male and female dorminatory and Kyai’s house. This boarding school design responds to the site, urban context, has open spaces for activities and has spiritual values that embed Islamic values .
