Repertoire of batik in Indonesia is an art craft that passed generation by generation which describes a value of exotic, philosophical, cultural symbolic. As well as having a value of Cirebon pattern symbolic meaning behind the line strokes. Therefore, this thesis intends to explore the symbolic meaning of these patterns with unique things to be a measuring point that will be used through the exploration of the architectural design of the frame, thus was born the display architecture that is able to reflect the symbolic meanings that exist within the pattern. Transformation of symbolic meanings that exist in Cirebon batik Semiotics approach to the design of museum architecture composition (mass, space under its assistance and its environment) that is capable of meeting to provide information on all matters relating to the Cirebon batik. Cirebon batik museum in Trusmi is also designed to be a place researching and developing technologies, materials and patterns appropriate to the demands of the times. Because the museum is designed to be able to communicate and to educate visitors about the legibility of batik Cirebon through the architectural appearance of the existing pattern symbolism and therefore in need of Semiotics approach. In addition, this Cirebon batik museum also will be an oasis for the neighborhood. Unraveling the sign behind this pattern led transformation becomes more meaningful because of gradual changes occur in mass formation due to the influence of cultural referents, social, economic and natural character represented by the markings on each pattern. The uniqueness of the location which is one of the symbolism of the history of civilization to culture of Cirebon is the area of Kampung Batik Trusmi will make the transformation into a more contextual museum to be able to meet the demands of contemporary society and lifestyle. With hopes the museum can be communicative and educational sights and enjoy a wide range of support facilities are provided in accordance with the dynamics of the development of modern society.
