Summary: | At the moment Medan is showing progress in the creative community, which is where the creative community and the creative industries form a productive act. Creative industries as part of the creative economy which has 15 sub-sectors such as advertising, architecture, art market, crafts, design, fashion, photography and video movies, music, performing arts, publishing and cracking, software, radio and television, research and development, and most recently the culinary (based on KBLI 2009). The spread of the creative community in the city of Medan and no place for it accomodate, make this building as a catalyst of social interactions between communities and surrounding communities, This building is the center of the creative industry and culinary results, that can be traded, which is easier for tourists as well as locals looking for creative industrial merchandise and culinary, which was originally scattered throughout the city of Medan. With placemaking approach, this building is expected will be a "place" for the surrounding region. And for the sustainability of this building, ideas such as creative approach have chosen. Which combines community, creative industries, public and commercial spaces, integrated in one site. |
