Summary: | The lack of information and socialization regarding the management of liquid waste of the Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant of Koya Koso (FSTP) in the city of Jayapura, has quite an impact on the low performance of the FSTP itself. One way to deal with these problem is to implement scheduled desludging service (SDS). A method used in this study is SWOT method, used to determine the strategy for implementing SDS in Jayapura City by first analyzing technical, institutional economic-financial, and social aspects. The results of the analysis of technical aspects indicate that the condition of the processing unit is functioning but not optimal and the capacity of the FSTP is currently able to support the implementation of the FSTP. Meanwhile, the results of the institutional aspects analysis showed that only 3 people were involved in FSTP of Koya Koso. From the analysis of economic - financial aspects, a basic tarif of Rp. 7,494/HH was obtained. To determine whether SDS is feasible or not economically, NPV, BCR and BEP calculations are carried out, and the respective results obtained are: NPV = 21,110,449,812; BCR = 1.765; BEP occurred in the fifth year with an income of Rp. 12,176,734,213. The social analysis of the people who knew about the functions of the FSTP although they did not know for certain that their names were FSTP. The results obtained from the SWOT analysis is 0.238; 0.244 which is in strong state, so the strategy for implementing LLTT can be done are: 1) preparing a database of LLTT prospective customers, 2) socializing the LLTT program to the community, 3) procuring additional trucks and establishing partnerships with private parties, 4) maintaining the condition of the units in the FSTP so that they can always operate optimally, and 5) prepare an appropriate method of paying retribution. |
