Description
Summary:Offshore production facility can be designed with fixed platform or floating platform which each of them does have its own characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. The design of the offshore production facility itself has been suited with actual reservoir and operation conditions, specifically designed to handle gas with its characteristics and compositions. Compressor and its system play an important role on offshore production facility and it functions as gas transmitter equipment from point to point from seller to buyer. During normal service compressor needs strategic operating mode and sustanaible maintenance system to maintain gas delivery and feed gas depletion from the well. To keep maintain and increase compression system efficiency gas optimization strategy should be well studied and carried out. This paper was intended to overview and analyse the background and constraints for offshore production facility and how to properly select the technology that suitable to current and future conditions. Thus feasibility studies for offshore production facility to be done as a baseline for future strategic development programs. The effects of operating conditions change on offshore production facility take significant role in handling inlet gas at compression system, and therefore this paper focuses on the analysis of gas inlet setting pressure trough simulation program to understand and predict operating parameter caused by this inlet pressure from well depletion. And in turn the result from this simulations can contribute the most optimum setting pressure that does not effect the compression and other related systems significantly. Operational approach in actual operating condition was taken as a basis parameter using Hysis Simulation on steady state condition to overview the correlation between one unit and another unit. Based on simulation results it was revealed that optimum setting pressure is at 125 psiG and keep flow rate at 30 mm Scfd.
