Summary: | Smart Machine Tools is a framework that aims to make all production elements in a workstation 'smart'. This concept will make a production system capable of making decisions independently related to the actual conditions of the system. In order to make its own decisions, the elements in the production system, one of which is a machine tool, need to be monitored for its state and activity during the work. In this study, the activity of the machine tool which monitored is the time when the machine is being operated by the operator and the time when the machine is not operated. In other words, operator's sign-in time and operator's time sign-out to / from machine tools is identified by sensors. The process of identifying the operator is done by using a microcontroller device, RFID sensor, fingerprint sensor, and Raspberry Pi. The operator data and recorded time are used as information for the operator's authentication process and the calculation of the operator's working hours on the machine. |
