THE METEOROLOGICAL AND HYDROLOGICAL DROUGHT IMPACT TO MICROHYDRO POWER POTENTIAL AT CILEAT RIVER

Cileat River that’s located at Mayang Village, Cisalak, Subang can be a great micro hydro power potential. It was reported at government report in 2006 and 2015. Two of factors that can threat this potential are meteorological and hydrological drought. Because of those droughts, this research aims t...

It was reported at government report in 2006 and 2015. Two of factors that can threat this potential are meteorological and hydrological drought. Because of those droughts, this research aims to analyze the meteorological and hydrological drought impact to micro hydro power potential at Cileat River. This research is using rainfall data that was observed at Cisalak and Sindanglaya station and also using discharge river data at Cipunegara station. To analyze the drought, those datas will be processed by DrinC software into drought indices, such as Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI), Reconnaissance Drought Index (RDI), dan Streamflow Drought Index (SDI). From those three indices, the relationship between rainfall and discharge river to micro hydro power potential will be analyzed. The result of this research has showed that meteorological drought event ratio based on SPI is equal to 16,7% and based on RDI is counted 5%. In the other side, hydrological drought event ratio is 13% based on SDI. The ratio of meteorological drought events that causes hydrological drought events is 3%. It also can be concluded that meteorological and hydrological drought could reduce micro hydro potential at 0,2% – 39,5%. text
