ANALYSIS THE SIMULATION OF VEHICLE POLLUTANT DISPERSION BY USING CALINE4 METHOD
Motor vehicles become one of the major sources of air pollution in urban areas. Increasing the volume of vehicles causing increasing level of traffic in Bekasi city. It can be seen from ratio value of the volume of vehicles and road capacity (V/C Ratio) in Bekasi city are worth 0.83, causing the ave...

Increasing level of traffic and complex air circulation have impacted on CO concentration and distribution pattern in the urban central of Bekasi city. CALINE4 is line source dispersion model that is widely used to predict air pollutions concentrations from vehicular along the highway under suburban or urban conditions without street canyon effects. Observational data from Environmental Management Agency and Department of Transportation Bekasi city in 2015 were used as the input for CALINE4. Therefore, CO pollutants dispersion originated from motor vehicles was simulated using line source air quality model CALINE4. From the simulation results using CALINE4 in September and October 2015th, found that low wind speeds at the morning and evening causing a high concentration of pollutants CO, while high wind speeds at the afternoon causing low concentration. Accumulation of pollutants CO at the morning and afternoon is affected by the wind direction coming from the east, while later in the day is affected by the wind direction coming from the east and southeast. At the evening, accumulation is affected by the wind direction coming from the east and northeast. text |
