Description
Summary:Forest fires that occurred throughout the world are often uncontrollable and end up harming the surrounding community. Therefore it is imperative to find a method that can predict the direction of fire spreading in a forest fires. This paper proposes a mathematical model that can predict the movement of fire spread using cellular automata. The cellular automata model have shown a good agreement with other mathematical models, or with experimental data that compatible with forest fire problems. In this final assignment, the cell’s neighborhood used is the one called Moore’s neighborhood. Then the neighborhood will slightly modified so it can show the circular nature of fire spreads. In addition, this final assignment also intent to shows the use of probability factor in fire spreads. Since it can be used as the bases to take into account other factors that affect fire spreads in forest fire.
