Summary:Mohd Zulhelmy Trisna, NIM : 24014035 This thesis is an account of observation with the study case Santa modern market using the frame works of Actor-Network Theory (ANT). Throught the frameworks of ANT, the concept of the market discussed as a calculative device and place collectively which consist of human agencies and non-human agencies performing a complex calculation to reach the diffrent interest of each agencies. By discussing various ways performed by the calculative agencies which are not only utilizing any kind of calculative device but also any kind of architectural elements of the markets building in order to frame the calculation performed by others calculative agencies. This thesis provides an illustration of the network's formation and the agency of calculations performed by the each actors. The results of the observations highlights : First, the movement behavior of the visitors inside the market's building are influenced by the framing done by others calculative agencies. Second, certain calculative agencies which are capable utilizing any kind of calculative devices including the architectural elements of the market?s building to frame the calculation of others agencies, would be have more calculative power than the others calculative agencies. This thesis also suggest some options in odrder to re-organizing the whole calculative agencies evenly by stregthening the role of certain actors, improving the interactions of the both human and non-human calculative agencies.
