Description
Summary:Schistosomiasis japonica is a zoonotic disease caused by schistosoma japonicum worms that infect human and animals reservoir. Cowis one of the animalthat is responsible forthe transmission ofthisdiseasetohumans. A model of transmission Schistosomiasis japonica along with treatments in cows and Oncomelania hupensis (snail) vectoris discussed in this thesis. A dynamical systemwithsixcompartmentsisconstructed with four compartments in cow populations i.e susceptible cows, exposed cows, infected cows, treatedcowsand two compartements in snail populations i.esusceptible snails and infected snails. Theinfected cowswithtreatmentare separated intotreated compartement. Dynamical analysis such as existence of endemic state, basic reproductive ratio, stability analysisandnumerical simulation are studied. Basic reproductive ratiowas obtained by spectral radius of the Next Generation Matrix (NGM) of the model. From numerical simulations with spesific data,it is obtained that intervention to both populations could reduce number of infected cows significantly.
