used to resolve the problem, which in this case, optimizing the pilots? schedules
are chosen. Good scheduling expected to reduce the need for pilot so the cost can
be optimized.
The purpose of this research is using optimization method to minimize the
aircrew expenditure for one month using the data given. Optimization is
accomplished by optimizing the flight pairing and managing the schedules of
flight attendants, as well as determining the best flight time restriction which can
provide the lowest aircrew cost by using fuzzy logic approach. In flight pairing,
each flights is paired one another to optimize the numbers of pilots needed in a
month. Moreover, the arrangement of aircrew?s schedules that provides the lowest
aircrew cost is regarded as the best timetable. Then, fuzzy logic approach is used
to specify the change of constrain that can provide the lowest aircrew cost.
Hence, flight pairing optimization generates 228 flight pairings with 771
flight attendantsassigned in a month. Meanwhile, aircrew schedules optimization
sets up 40 rotations that cost Rp 6.038.900.000 monthly. Moreover, 89 hours time
is concluded as the best flight time restriction which can provide the lowest
aircrew cost. |
