Summary: | Insurance and insurance claims are common in society nowadays. They appear as
a need to guarantee peoples nancial condition during unpredicted future situation.
For both academia and practitioners, modeling number of claims is challenging either
from claim frequency or claim severity point of views.
We deal with some statistical properties of number of insurance claims i.e. joint
distribution of claim frequency and severity. We take some particular cases such as
excess zeros or time-dependence claims. Whilst Poisson distribution is considered
as a good model for number of claims, we consider a mixed-Poisson model in which
Poisson parameter follows certain continuous distribution. An alternative model
based on Copula is also studied to take dependency into account. |
