This reasearch were done to understand the geological setting and the development of structural geology from Mesozoic-Tertiary. This study examines about lithological continuity, structural pattern development, and paleogeography in offshore Timor. Seven wells, 43 of 2-D seismic lines, and bathymetric data were used in this study. The methods are begin with chronostratigraphic correlation in wells which will be tied with seismic lines. Then, the seismic lines are interpreted to get seismic horizons and faults in seismic lines. Horizon interpretations starts from well-tie to get horizon-top age of each well-tie equivalent. The interpretation will be validated with palinspastic reconstruction. Then, analysis of structural development, fault relationship, and paleogeography will be carried out by palinspastic method and well correlation. The result of seismic interpretation shows eight horizon-top age equivalent, from Pre-Permian to Tertiary, normal faults on the southern of the study area with northeast-southsouthwest, northeast-southwest, eastnorhteast-westsouthwest structural pattern, then fold-thrust with northeast-westsouthwest structural pattern on the northern. The result of reconstruction shows three main structures: Permian to Late Jurassic extension which produced normal faults, Late Jurassic to Middle Cretaceous extension which produced normal faults which reactivation when Tertiary sedimentation, Pleistocene compression produced normal faults and fold-thrust belt. Fault relathionship will be showed synthetic-antithetic fault and some vertical relationships for Neogen normal faults with Mesozoic normal faults. text
