Description
Summary:Tanggulan Village, a village in Dago Pojok, Bandung, have communal waste water treatment system (WWTS) since September 2013, which consists of septic tank and biofilters. The wastewater from local households flows through a PVC piping system to the WWTS. The WWTS worked well and the locals are grateful, but there is no certain management and maintenance system for the WWTS. Unfortunately the locals is already too comfortable with the current condition although it is not the ideal condition. To motivate the locals to do management and maintenance for the WWTS, an economical approach is needed. Based on the management and maintenance needs and the locals’ muse of fishing recreation, a solution is given by combining WWTS management and maintenance with fishing pond business.
