Air pollution is caused by H2S gas that evaporates from the reservoir , especially during the dry season . H2S gas thought to have come from the Floating Cage growth is rapidly increasing every year . Animal feed the fish makes the organic content in the water is high . In the present study will be conducted measurement studies H2S gas contained in the sludge and limestone filter efficiency by using a batch reactor by varying the height of the filter and the variation of contact time. This research was conducted in a laboratory scale titration method to determine the content of sulfide in the sample . To test the efficiency of the filter use limestone in a reactor with 3 variations in height and 4 different variations of time . Variations height is 1 cm , 3 cm and 5 cm , while the variation of time is 1 hour , 3 hours , 10 hours , and 24 hours . Efficiency obtained in the range of 97-99 % for the initial H2S concentration of 44.02 ppm . This study determines the type of limestone adsorbent adsorption using adsorption isotherms and kinetics adsorption . Adsorption isotherms were elected are Freundlich isotherm with the best adsorption capacity is to use a filter height of 5 cm in 1 hour with a removal efficiency of 99 723 % . The reaction rate at each thickness filter 1 cm , 3 cm and 5 cm has range constant k between 0.0035-0.0269 / h . In this study , reaction that occurs in limestone adsorbent is physically reactions and chemical adsorption. text |
