This potential properties is coming up from the magnetic transition between low spin state (diamagnetic) and high spin state (paramagnetic) when an external effect applied, such as temperature, radiation, and pressure. The change of magnetic complex behaviour is followed by color changing, so that it can be identified visually by eyes and happens around room temperature. In this research, iron(II)-1,2,4-4H-triazole complexes with tetrafluoroborate and perchlorate counter ions were synthesized in a biopolymer nata de coco by knowing its function as a matrix in a complex formation. Nowadays, the single crystal of these complexes compounds has not been grown so that the exact chemical formula has not been known properly. Based on elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy, the chemical formula of complexes have been reported as [Fe(Htrz)2(trz)]X, with X = BF4- and ClO4-. In which one of the Htrz ligand has been deprotonated to trz- anion. In this research, chemical formula complex is verified from EDS data on the complex inside nata de coco matrix. The EDS measurement of iron(II)-1,2,4-4H-triazole complex with tetrafluoroborate anion is focused on Fe and F elements. Otherwise, the EDS measurement is focused on Fe and Cl elements for complex with perchlorate anion. EDS data shows the comparison of Fe : F = 1 : 4 in the complex with tetrafluoroborate anion and Fe : Cl = 1 : 1 in the complex with perchlorate anion. Finally, the chemical formula of these two complexes are [Fe(Htrz)2(trz)]X, with X = BF4- and ClO4-. text |
