This is a highly developed area, can be seen from the density of population and the number of facilities in the area. Less optimal drainage and land conversion into building area causing flood. Flood often causing traffic jams and economic losses in Gegerkalong Subdistrict. Based on runoff calculations with rational method and existing condition there are six major problems, such as no drainage channel, insufficient channel capacity, channel covered by solid waste, channel narrowing, buildings on top of the channel, and inlet filled by solid waste.Problems can be solved by duct cleaning, public education, rain water conservation, and channel development. Minor channel development calculated with 5 years rainfall return period , and 25 years rainfall return periode for a major channel. The results of the hydrological analysis show 95.095 mm/h rainfall intensity for 5 years return period, and 102 mm/h for 25 years return period All of the channels lead to Cibeureum River and CikadalMeteng River. Channels designed rectangular shaped with equipment such as 152 culverts, 12 outfall, and channel cascade. For conservation, 13 units rainwater harvesting facilities will be built in several public facilities such as swimming pool, schools, mosques, church, and government office . text
