The maintenance oftrain carriages and engine certainly used the lubricants. However, using the lubricants will cause the problem if the lubricant shedding or lubricant leakage. Pollution caused a challenge that must become with improvement in using the lubricants. Lubricant is one of the petroleum fractions obtained from destillation process and the characterized by temperatur and pressure. Bioremediation is one of the ways of processing contaminant to degrade pollutants into less harmfull than harmless by utilizing microorganism activity. At the beginning of the bioremediation uses biostimulation technic with starting of TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon) 7%. Doing the bioremediation is adding bulking agent, source of N and P until the ratio of C N and P 100:6,39:1, 100:11,39:1, 100:21,39:1 and than strirring and keep of soil moisture. TPH impairing tested was describing the lubricants consentration is done every week and the microbial’s growth with using TPC (Total Plate Count) once forthnight. From the bioremediation process using biostimulation technic which has been carried out for eleven weeks the result is less biodegradation processes are demonstrated with TPH concentrations are still high and the number of microbial populations are still small. After that, the bioremediation continued using bioaugmentation technic (adding some bacteria into the soil). Using bioaugmentation technic can removed the lubricants and decreased the consentration of lubricants and followed by increasing the number of growth bacteria. This condition can be said that the biostimulation technic was not suitable to be applied to removed the train lubricants and bioaugmentation suitable to be applied, so that the degradation was happened. text
