Summary:One of thetechnicalphases ofoperationsthat must be considered in solid waste management systemis wastecollection system. Cibeunying is one of transfer station functioning in Bandung.This preliminary study was conducted to determine the condition of the existing collection system that has been applied in the household sector of Cibeunying transfer station service areas and it will be used as baseline data to develop solid waste collection system in accordance with applicable regulations. Aspect that is reviewed in this research is from the operational technique, magagement, and community participation aspect. Operational technique and managementaspect data obtained from observation, the samplingof waste generation for 8daysin a rows and interviews the workers and they will be analyzed by descriptive analysis. Community participation aspect data obtained from the questionnaire. The level of people's satisfaction with a excisting collection system and the public's willingness to participate in the solid waste collection system in accordance with applicable regulations is measured by Likert Scale.Applied solid waste collection system is not in accordance with the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) concept that is shown on Act of Indonesian Republic (UU) No. 18/ 2008,Government Regulation (PP) No. 81/ 2012, Works Ministry Regulation (PerMen PU) No.3/ PRT/ M/ 2013. Solid waste collection system that were preferred by residents are divided into organic and inorganic waste, using existing plastic bags (no distinction of color), and the collection is done by means of collecting sectional / disaggregated.
