From three kind of laser gain medium, solid state laser has a wider output range and wavelength compare to the other. Glass doped with rare earth is a medium that gives some advantages such as has a good transparency, easily fabricated, and has a good ability to dissolve rare earth ion with high concentration. In this work, glass borate doped with Eu3+ were prepared by melt quenching technique, with the chemical composition (60-x)B2O3 :10Al2O3:10ZnO:20BaO:xEu2O3 with variation of Eu3+ from 1 to 7 mol %. The result shows that sample absorbing photon in visible light and near infra red region. The strongest emission perform from Eu3+ doped glass has 614 nm wavelength by 394 nm excitation. Depend on quenching effect concentration analysis optimum concentration of Eu3+ is 3 mol%. The evaluated Judd-Ofelt parameters (??, ?=2, 4, 6) has been used to calculate lasing parameters such as oscillator strength experiment (fexp) and calculation (fcal), transition probability (AR), branching ratio experiment (?exp) and calculation (?cal), and stimulated emission cross section (?).
