Description
Summary:Determination of heavy metals: Fe, Mn, Cu, Ni and Cr in sediment Cimande River have been done by atomic absorption spectrometry. Sample of sediment were taken from Cimande River Bandung regency on March. Sediment were taken from four location, each location divided into three segment, they were : 1 cm sediment surface, 2- 9,5 cm segment and 9,5-18 cm. destruction of sediment used aqua regia and concentrated HCl. Result of determination used to analyze water resource pollution that caused by factory sewage. Concentration of Fe in the sediment ranged from 7462, 5 to 55202, 5 mg/kg of soil. Concentration of Mn in the sediment ranged from 634, 7 to 1683, 5 mg/kg of soil. Concentration of Cu in the sediment ranged from 7,1 to 42,7 mg/kg of soil. Concentration of Ni in the sediment ranged from 0,0 to 188,0 mg/kg of soil. Concentration of Cr in the sediment ranged from 0, 0 - 76, 9 mg/kg of soil. Research show that sediment of Cimande River contain Fe much higher than other metals. Commonly concentration of heavy metals in lowest segment is higher than in the upper one because of in this segment sedimentation has been occurred at longer time.
