The main products of the processing activities in the industry is palm oil. In the production process, PT XYZ require steam as one of the supporting operations. PT XYZ uses boilers as a producer of steam, with fuel combustion in the form of fibers and palm kernel shells. With the use of fibers and palm kernel shells as raw material, those combustion activities generate emissions of pollutants, one of the emitted pollutant is particulate. Particulate control device that is mounted on the boiler XYZ is a multi cyclone. The concentration of particulates in the gas emitted from the multi-cyclone reaches 996 mg/m3. This value is above the quality standard particulate concentrations when compared with the Regulation of the Minister of Environment No. 7 In 2007, 300 mg/m3. In this planning study, the solutions proposed to overcome the problems of the particulate concentration is an additional form of wet scrubber systems. Then to anticipate a tightening of the rules, the planned maximum concentration of particulate emissions is 100 mg/m3 so that the particulate removal efficiency target is 90%. To achieve these targets, then the system is designed in the form of wet scrubber tower spray chamber (include the nozzle and the mist eliminator), sedimentation tank, and reservoir. Tower spray chamber which is designed to have a high dimension of 6.5 m and a diameter of 3.5 m with the addition of a nozzle for droplet 800 ?m at 9 points and vane-type mist eliminator. Sedimentation tank is designed to have two tanks, each of which has dimensions of 9.2 m long and 2.3 m wide. Reservoir is needed to accommodate the liquid has length and width dimensions of 5.3 m with a depth of 3 m. text
