| Summary: | Water is a basic human needs. Therefore, water supplying in a certain area must be noticed well. An improved water service system will be able to help in meeting the needs of clean water in a region. Ciwalengke is a slum area with a limited access to tap water service so it is need a further study to evaluate the existing condition of water service system to give some suggestions about the proper and sustainable technology in water service system. Methods used in this study are observation to study area to know water service system with analize condition of clean water infrastructure both in quality and quantity. Furthermore, interview to the relevant institution, spread the questionnaire to identification the community capacity and cgaracterization, and design planning based on social economy condition. The total sample in this research is 255 family that decided by probability sampling with proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data is analyzed in deksriptif method. Result showed that Ciwalengke has not been in the regional planning of the water services system and has limited access to clean water taps. The absence of the proper water supply system cause communities to use the river and groundwater to meet their daily needs for clean water even the quality of it didn’t meet the standard by color and odor. So, it is necessary to plan an improvement to the system to improve water access in Ciwalengke become more feasible and sustainable. |
