At the moment, the sources for Cicendo Eye Hospital water supply system are taken from Bandung PDAM and two artesian well. Ideally, the water taken from PDAM is the main source but due to the limited amount supllied, two artesian well was made. The wells are now the main water supply for the hospital. The problem with water from wells are the high level of iron and manganese contained. The existing treatment units are sand filtration also resin and pressure filter. However, the units do not function well and desinfection is not carried out so the microbiologcical quality is not well guaranteed. To overcame the presence of manganese and iron, a Multiply Tray Aerator is used. The design maximalizing the contact between air and water the iron and manganese can be aside. This treatmen is used considering the feasibility and its simple operations.
