Description
Summary:Treasure hunt is a form of game that adopts geocaching activities, namely activities carried out outdoors where players use Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, mobile devices or other navigation techniques to hide or find containers marked with coordinates throughout the world. The container is termed geocaches or caches that are hidden in certain locations by following a series of instructions to find them. This activity is also possible to be done simultaneously at indoor and outdoor locations such as the location of the Bandung Institute of Technology which has approximately 71 buildings that will make this activity more detailed and challenging. GPS is well known for detecting outdoor objects, but when the signal is disturbed, indoor positioning technology is needed to find out the location in this case treasures based on the geocaches transmitter, for which the author will use an indoor positioning technology called iBeacon. IBeacon will be used as a geocache transmitter that will provide instructions for participants to search for treasures. From the results of testing on the 2.4 GHz frequency and transmission power level + 4 dBm, iBeacon successfully worked to provide geocache transmitter notification with an incoming distance accuracy of 36.11 ± 4.47 m and the exit distance accuracy was 21.23 ± 0.71 m, and from the results of reliability testing the system was tested using 3G and 4G networks for each geocache transmitter detection parameter using iBeacon, location parameters, distance parameters and photo validation parameters obtained the average delay and standard deviation of 4.05 ± 2.00 seconds and the transfer rate 0.57 KB/s, and the results of testing functionality 116 detection, total 70 photos and total distance traveled by all participants 6108.03 m and data 100% received.
