Summary: | Nowadays, the heavy traffic of Soekarno Hatta International Airport will give an impact on the increasing of the Green House Gases (GHGs) and Non GHGs. Those emissions emitted by aircraft and aircraft handling activities from aircraft main engine, Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), Ground Support Equipment (GSE), airside vehicle traffic, and aircraft refueling. Therefore, it is necessary to do emission inventory to know the emission from sources. The emissions are calculated by simple approach type A, B, C, and advanced approach method. The selection of method depends on the completeness and complexity of data available in field. If all emissions can be calculated by simple approach method, we can choose one of three types based on the assumption from literature. However, if the emissions are calculated by advanced approach, the result must be chosen from advanced approach due to the higher accuracy results of that method. The emissions are calculated by multiplying the activity data with emission factors. Calculation result shown that the emissions from aircraft main engine are 4,614,986 tonne/year of CO2, 32 tonne/year of CH4, 129 tonne/year of N2O, 1,685,847 tonne/year of CO, 26,693 tonne/year of NMVOC, 16,073 tonne/year of NOx, 1,399 tonne/year of SOx; from APU: 101 tonne/year of CO, 23 tonne/year of HC, 149 tonne/year of NOx; from GSE: 9,195 tonne/year of CO2, 66 tonne/year of CO, 17 tonne/year of HC, 183 tonne/year of NOx, 11 tonne/year of PM; from airside vehicle traffic: 446 tonne/year of CO2, 0.066 tonne/year of CH4, 0.008 tonne/year of N2O, 8 tonne/year of CO, 1 tonne/year of NMVOC, 7 tonne/year of NOx, 0.011 tonne/year SOx, 0.185 tonne/year of PM; from aircraft refueling: 16 tonne/year of VOC. The main emission source is aircraft main engine, which emits five larger emissions (CO2, CO, NMVOC, NOx, dan SOx.) because the most activity in airport is flight activity. To reduce the emission from the main source can be done by optimizing Air Traffic Control/Air Traffic Managemen system, planting of trees and garden, affirmation of cargo load regulation, optimizing fuel management control, and using alternative fuel. |
