The advantage of polyaniline lie on its stability and electrical conductivity. It has a broad range of electrical conductivity value and oustanding resistance against environmental oxidant dan thermodynamically easy to be procesessed. Polyaniline can be applied on large area of electronics such as organic light emiting diode (OLED) and electron charge carrier on solar cell. To comply the need of this technology, a excellent properties of polyaniline is a must. These properties (good conductivity and stable form) can be acquired in fiber structure of emeraldine salt (doped form of polyaniline). In this research, several modifications in oxidative polimerization of aniline is studied with thermal and interfacial reactions. The polymerization of aniline is carried out in four different experimental conditions, i.e. direct oxidation and interfacial oxidation at 273 K and 298 K, respectively. The results are analyzed with UV-Vis absorption spectrocopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The experimental data shows that the emeraldine salt absorbance is lies within 1.6 eV – 2.5 eV, the typical electrical conductivity value is 0.12 mS/cm, and from the XRD we observed that the interfacial reaction produce materials with higher cyrstalinity than of direct oxidation. text
