ADSORPTION CAPACITY OF CR (III) AND CR (VI) ION BY MICROPARTICLE OF IRON OXIDE MATERIALS
Xylanase is an xylan hydrolyzing enzyme used for many applications such as for paper industries, food industries, and bioenergy. Xylan molecules formed by residues of 1,4-?-D- xilopiranosa are a part of hemicellulose structure. In this study, xylan was obtained from corn cobs, xylanase...

The first step of this research was to extract xylan from corn cobs using reagents NaOCl and NaOH. The next step was to purify xilanase from termite bacterium. Xylan have successfully been extracted from corn cobs with percent recovery of 9.5. Meanwhile, the yield of purified xylanase was 0.21% with degree of purity of 3.9 fold. text |
