Summary:The development of tourism need the support and participation of local community. As the host in tourist destination, community play an essential role in achieving tourism sustainability. However, in many developing countries, community still faces challenges. Power holders still dominate the planning and development process of tourism which inhibit local people to share their thought and idea regarding the development. Lack of knowledge occured making community difficult to distinguish the tourism impact and impede local’s involvement. With respect to these challenges, the current study investigates the community perception of tourism impact, knowledge, and participation model in developing urban-village tourism in the emerging country from community stand point. The proposed model analyse using structural equation modelling (SEM) by distributing a survey to community in Kampung Cibunut, Bandung, Indonesia. From 139 data were gathered, this study found that perceived benefits and community knowledge as the strong predictor of community participation. Further, the implications was discussed and suggestion of future research was provided in this study.
