Example of bottom structure are foundation and excavation. Foundation and excavation must be designed according to the load that received by the building in order to avoid structure collapse. This final project has goal to designe building foundation and excavation faculty of medicine, Universitas Indonesia. Pile group foundation is designed in the largest column, Corewall, and the smallest column. Type of foundation that used to design is bore pile. In design the excavation for retaining structure using diaphragm wall with achor. The first stage to design foundation and excavation is analysis and determination of soil parameters. With soil parameters that obtained, the next stage is do manual calculation of axial bearing capacity of single pile to get press capacity and tensile capacity. Manual calculation is also used to calculating the bearing capacity of foundation block. Pile group analysis performed by using Group Pile program. For lateral bearing capacity analysis performed by using L-Pile Program. In design of excavation, analysis was performed by using Plaxis 2D with Mohr Coulomb Model and Hardening Soil Model. After having obtained dimension that can resist the load plan, the next step is reinforcement. Foundation dimension that obtained from the design of foundation is 800 mm with depth of foundation is 29 meters and 33 meters. For the diaphragm wall has dimension 600 mm with anchor has diameter 200 mm. text
