Cost and time are the important factors of project construction management aspect. Contractors always try to minimize the expenses cost to get the maximum profit. To achieve this, process of cost estimating is needed to estimate the amount of money that needed to accomplish the construction project. Besides that, the cost estimating process can be used as reference to determine the bidding price. The estimated cost divided into two characters, direct cost and indirect cost. Direct cost is cost that has direct relation with the amount of activity/work in the project. Direct cost contain cost of resources that are expended solely to complete the activity/work of the project, such as material cost, equipment cost, and labor cost. Indirect cost is cost that has indirect relation with the amount of activity/work in the project. Indirect cost contain cost of resources that need to be expended to support the activity/work of the project, such as overhead cost, general conditions, contingencies, profit, and taxes. The used method of cost estimating in this project is resource enumeration method. The reason of choosing this method is to cause a relationship between duration of work and amount of labors/workers in calculating the cost of work. After the cost of work is known, the unit cost of work can be known too. The unit cost of work is an important factor in determining the bid price. After all the direct cost are counted, the indirect cost can be estimated. The amount of indirect cost is stated with percentage of direct cost. The final results for construction cost estimate of project building Center for Advanced Sciences (CAS) ITB, structural works only, is 57,5 billion rupiahs (include taxes).
